A 40-year-old female has presented to you at your GP clinic today complaining of pain in her hands. She is complaining that this pain is worse when she is sat watching tv or in bed at night and that both hands feel stiff in the morning for around two hours. On examination you notice that there is a ‘boggy’ feeling on palpation and that the joints in her fingers look swollen. What is the most likely diagnosis?
