You have just seen a 68-year-old male in A & E who presented with mild abdominal and flank pain. His observations are: BP 120/80, HR 78, O2 saturation 99% on room air, temperature 37.2 degrees and RR 15. He has several risk factors for an AAA including COPD and a family history on his father’s side. You notice on the scan result that this gentleman has an abdominal aorta diameter of >5.5cm. You refer him to the regional vascular service. How soon should this gentleman be seen by the vascular service?
